Urgent Reminder – Paid Family And Domestic Violence Leave

As a reminder, from 1 February, employers with 15 or more employees were required to provide their employees with 10 days of paid family and domestic violence leave (FDVL) per year.  For smaller employers who employ less than 15 employees on 1 February 2023, the entitlement will operate from 1 August 2023.

The leave is part of the latest addition to the National Employment Standards (NES).  A template of an FDVL policy is available to Members on the Member Resources page on this website.  Members were reminded of all the relevant details by email circular on 26 July.
