06 Sep LABOR REVEALS NEXT WAVE OF IR CHANGES
The Federal Labor Albanese Government has introduced further workplace changes in the form of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill 2023 into the federal parliament.
The Bill’s contents contain changes to: Contracts: Casuals and Contractors/Pay and Unions/ Road Transport. TTIA Members will have received a short summary in TTIA General Circular 4/2023, sent out by email on 5 September.
TTIA will provide a detailed analysis shortly and the proposals are in bill form at the moment. A significant part of the legislation won’t apply until 1 July 2024 however. Members will be updated on any specific operative dates in due course.
